My Most Memorable Moments in the Industry
I’ve been blessed with many wonderful opportunities that have come my way since my very first fashion internship abroad in Hong Kong Summer 2011 where I worked with a design team designing menswear knits. Years later I attended/worked my very first fashion show 2015- which was a local Fashion X Dallas fashion show, presenting all local designers.
Getting to visit the knit factory in mainland China was by far, and is still by far one of the coolest things I have yet the experience.
Runway and Editorial
This past year, I had the opportunity to work with up and coming designers Nine Muses Collection several times, assisting styling in their editorial, campaign, and runway. They put on a beautiful and inspiring show this past Fall at the Perot Museum and I was fortunate to be a part of the production. Designers Jerry Matthews and Francesca Viamonte quickly became friends and mentors to me, people that inspired me in every way possible with their aesthetic, hard work, and teamwork.
The first photoshoot I worked that I had real creative freedom with was during an internship at a design firm in Dallas. I loved being able to see the photographer, stylist, and everybody else involved’s creative vision come alive. It was the first time I was able to truly get a hands on experience, and it was during this internship that I decided I wanted to pursue fashion styling.
